Ethan Lester
General Manager / Golf Course Superintendent

Ethan has overseen Maryland National Golf Club's maintenance program since 2002.  During the 2005 golf season his knowlege and skills were utilized across the entire facility and he was promoted to General Manager.  Ethan came to Maryland National with ten years of experience in golf course maintenance at several different semi-private and public courses on the East coast all with diverse turf, chemical, fertilizer, and irrigation needs. In his most recent position prior to Maryland National, Ethan was a Senior Superintendent overseeing the maintenance operations for several courses in North Carolina. Ethan has been a member of the GCSAA since 1996 and holds a degree in Turfgrass Management and Applied Science in Ornamental and Landscape Design from North Carolina State.


Scott Wisnom
Director of Clubhouse Operations

Scott has been employed at Maryland National since February of 2004.  Orginally hired as an Assistant Golf Professional, Scott brings a variety of experiences to the table.  Scott is currently enrolled in the PGA Professional Golf Management program and has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Marketing as well as a Minor in Speech Communications from Edinboro Unversity in Edinboro PA. Prior to becoming a golf professional Scott spent several years selling radio broadcast sponsorships for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguin radio broadcasts in Pittsburgh, PA. In his most recent position prior to joining Maryland National's professional staff, Scott was an Assistant Golf Professional at Marlborough Golf Club in Upper Marlborough, Maryland. 


Steve Miller
Head Golf Professional

Steve has been employed at Maryland National Golf Club since May 2002.  Initially hired as one of the original Assistant Golf Professionals, Steve brings nearly a decade of golf management experience to Maryland National.  A 1996 graduate of Dickinson College (B.A. History) in Carlisle, PA, Steve spent 5 years in Salt Lake City, Utah where he was a golf professional at Riverbend Golf Course and spent a large amount of his free time in the deep powder at Alta Ski Area.  While in the golf industry, he has been fortunate to gain experience in competitive play, running Junior Programs, individual instruction, event coordination, inventory management, and service skills.   Steve currently holds Maryland National's Course record from the gold tees with a 5 under par score of 66. 


Sherree Lance
Director of Sales and Food Service

Sherree has been employed at Maryland National Golf Club since the Spring of 2005.  She brings a wealth of experience from several other award winning food and beverage operations.  Sherree has been employed in the industry for over 15 years and held positions ranging from a wine and spirits sales representative to her current position as food and beverage director.  She has been named a "Who's Who of Hospitality" by the Restaurant Association.
